Q4 · 2023Be inspired. Achieve excellence. Become a true champion

I’m proud to announce the publication of my latest book, Volume II of Spotlight on Performance – Executive Inspiration. The rationale for this book is exactly the same as for Volume I: to inspire executive excellence. But, of course, the content is completely new.

If you are a regular reader of my Spotlight on Performance essays, you will be aware that, for several years, I’ve published one every quarter to provide insights, advice and inspiration to leaders in the corporate world. The response I’ve received has been amazing, in terms of both a constant stream of moving reactions and feedback from readers and an ever-increasing number of subscribers. I soon realized that my messages strike a chord with leaders all around the world. It was this popularity that prompted me to publish Volume I of these essays in 2018 and now this book – to bring together every edition of Spotlight on Performance and maximize the benefits they can bring to leaders everywhere.

Each book works on its own, so if you have not yet read Volume I, I can still recommend it to you. Volume II provides a collection of key insights and perspectives from my own work with world-class performers in the past five years, from business champions and sporting superstars. It includes my reflections on Roger Federer’s sensational tennis career and his year-long coaching from Severin Lüthi, Manuel Akanji’s triumph with Manchester City in soccer’s UEFA Champions League, and Yann Sommer’s brilliant performances as one of the world’s top soccer goalkeepers. There’s also my perspective on Michelle Gisin’s second consecutive skiing gold at the Olympic Games, despite a mononucleosis infection, and on the strategic guidance of her sister Dominique, also an Olympic Champion.

My passion is as strong as ever. I want to help you – as a senior executive, business leader, entrepreneur or somebody who is about to step up to the top in the corporate world – to achieve your highest level of performance and become a true champion. And then I want to support you in sustaining and expanding this success in the long term. What matters to me is enabling you to aim high and achieve your goals, in life overall and not just professionally, in a healthy, enjoyable, even playful way.

Above all, my intention is for this book to inspire you – and for you to use it freely to inspire others. As with Volume I, if a certain story reminds you of someone you know who can benefit from it, I encourage you to pass the book on to them. If you do, just email me straight afterwards and I will be happy to send you a new copy free of charge (spotlight@marcolli.com).

I wish you many inspiring moments!
